4 November 2025 - MoSIN 6-monthly meeting 

The MoSIN consortium recently came back together to share the latest updates across the project. 

Schuttelaar & Partners reviewed all novel foods approved in the EU to date and provided insights into current developments in novel food dossiers and regulations. In addition, the MoSIN clinical studies have been approved by the Medical Ethics Review Committee at UMC Utrecht, meaning they are set to commence soon. Meanwhile, the team at Maastricht University has been working on surveys among food business operators, as well as pilot surveys with food-allergic consumers. A new survey is now being developed, focusing on Precautionary Allergen Labelling (PAL) and monitoring. We were also pleased to welcome Erkan Basar, who recently joined the consortium as a postdoctoral researcher.
